From the system of Constitutional Hydrotherapy developed by Dr. OG Carroll, the 'Standard' is the backbone of this Naturopathic system of Physiotherapy. Naturopathic Physiotherapy is a field of clinical treatments applicable to a wide variety of health conditions - from acute infections to chronic health issues, and of course including musculoskeletal complaints. The first 2 towels are very warm and are applied for 5 minutes, then a warm flip while the muscle stimulator (sine) pads are applied, then a cool towel is applied for 10 minutes. After the sine wave treatment to the abdomen, the towels are applied (5 minutes warm/warm flip/10 minutes cool) to the back of the torso. The total treatment time is about 40 to 45 minutes. Many variations of the treatment exist using different physical therapy units in combination with the towel treatment shown here.

The household also included a cook named Birdie. We begin with the ultrasound and the ultrasound unit helps muscles to have more blood flow and begin the relaxation process. The next thing that we do is a 15-minute head and neck massage to warm up the tissue and get the muscles to relax we work on the trigger points which are areas in the muscles that are very tense to get those to relax. The next thing we used is an alpha-stim unit which is a microcurrent unit. The therapist knows exactly where these trigger points are.
